Crossfit training

Ok, ignore the bad music in the background for this video, but can I just say WOW! Check out that girls shoulders! Greg and I decided we should do crossfit. Because let's face it, compared to just the girl in this video we're both wimps. Now I know you've all heard a lot about crossfit. Like, "I hear you can lift 300 lbs over your head without breaking a sweat with crossfit." and "If you use crossfit you can cut guns in half with your mind." And I'm here to tell you it's all true. How do I know? Easy! I watched it on Youtube. (All those you aren't fan's of 'Mystery Men can skip this aside...Okay, Sphinx fans sorry to burst your bubble of hope but just because you can learn to cut guns in half like the Sphinx, doesn't mean you gain his special powers. He is "highly mysterious," which you can't get just by joining a little known group that you disappear for hours on end and come home late at night and no one knows where you've been. No, he is mysterious because no one knows how he became so. Sorry.)

For those who haven't heard of crossfit, besides my informative comments above, let me tell you about it now. A bunch of people got together and decided to create a fitness program that would make anybody who didn't do it look like wimps. And they did. They also wanted to make the so called 'trainees' look like idiots, so part of the training picking up heavy objects and lifting them over your head, but that comes after the 'speed' part of the training so you can be quick about jumping out of the way when you drop it on your head. I think it sounds like tons of fun, and I'm going to try it when I'm done sitting on my butt eating this delicious birthday cake and ice cream. Or maybe I'll start small and work on getting up.

Happy Birthday Myles and Andrew!!

It's Myles and Andrew's 3rd Birthday today!! This is the second year in a row they have been sick on their Birthday. Poor kids. Thankfully yesterday was the worst and it's wearing off today. Here are the pics of the day:

I also got some video:

Jack's Soldiers Eulogy

Daddy and Jack were playing Soldier with their GI Joes. One lost an arm and Jack, in his usual take charge way said "I think he's dead. Let's bury him." Then when the toy was 'buried' he stood with his hands folded and bowed his head and -- not kidding-- said, "He was a bad soldier, I guess he died. He probably had a wife. It's too bad we had to bury him. If we had a doctor we could have done surgery to get the frog out."
He went on and on, but AJ pulled me out before I could copy all of it. I think Jack provides most of the entertainment in our house. Where the frog comment came from? Who knows? Why we had to bury a soldier when he was only thought to be dead? I guess we'll keep him away from the doctor profession.

Haircut

I finally got sick of my long hair and decided I was going to get it cut. That was a few months ago. On Thursday I finally told Greg I was getting it cut that day! Then he was busy all day and I couldn't get away. So when 7 o'clock hit and I was still at home with all my hair, I was done! I went in the bathroom pulled it into a pony tail and hacked it off with a small pair of hair scissors. I still haven't gone to get it evened out, but I'm loving it short! This picture isn't the best since I took it myself with my phone.

Hey Dad Can I chew your ear for a bit?

AJ recently achevied the skill of pulling himself up. He was able to use said skill to gain Daddy's back while Greg was taking a much deserved break. Once there he decided he hadn't really gotten an upclose 'hands-on' ear before.
I was hopeing for a better picture showing exactly what he was doing, but between the laughing and the rushing to find a camera, phone, or drawing pad or anything! I was left with these shots. Greg said he really chomped down at one point and tried sucking too. Mostly he left a great deal of slobber since we're pretty sure he's going to start popping out a tooth or two.
The funniest part about this is that while he's never done this before today, later while I was laying on the floorwith the boys- who should wander over to try his hand at eating ears again? AJ! I wasn't as patient with him (or maybe it was pure exhaution on Greg's part) and I got up right after the first huge drop of drool hit my eardrum. Yuck!
