Do the Andrew Dance

I always manage to catch Andrew in the in between moments of walking or standing.
Isn't he funny?

Checking In

Greg and I were discussing the blog yesterday, and wondering if anybody reads it. So this is my test. If you read please leave a comment below. I will say that we might be putting our family news on here instead of calling and telling people what it is, just to be mean I suppose. ;)

TOO TALL!

We noticed two weeks ago that it wasn't going to be long before the twins couldn't walk under the counter on our bar. Yesterday Myles(2'10" 4/24), who is one inch taller than Andrew (2'9" 4/24), is TODAY too tall to walk under it without hitting his head. (By the way, ignore the messy counter... we fed the missionaries last night and managed to get most all of our dishes dirty.)

Goodbye Elder Call :,-(

Yesterday we got news that one of our favorite missionaries was being transferred. We'll miss you Elder Call.

Hero's

Grandma came to visit us and she had to leave watching the 1st season of 'Hero's' behind. So she convinced us to buy it. I'm commletely hooked now. Last night we stayed up til 3 am watching disks 4 and 5 of 7. It didn't help that after we decided to go to bed Myles and Andrew both woke up crying so I didn't fall asleep until after 4 a.m. Not the best plan *yawn!*

Lizzy the Lizzard

Myles found a lizard in our backyard. Not that that's hard. I have at least three living outside my bathroom window. But this time we actually caught one. I think the pictures tell most of the story here. But just to let you know, Mom said "NO!" to letting it live in our house.

I love the hand on the second picture too.

Beach!!

We went to the beach on Saturday, but it was a little windy. On Monday the weather was perfect. Green flag day (no high surf, no dangers.) But we did forget to lather up with sunblock. I put it all over the boys' faces and most of their arms, but Andrew didn't want to wear his wet shirt after he ran into the ocean and got knocked down in the tide. So he went without protection on his back and upper arms.

Jack even turned a little pink, though I think he's going to be golden by tomorrow. Myles was hardly even pink, but that didn't stop him from whinning to get as much aloe lotion as Andrew. Grandma got the worst of it. She was red front back and legs.
Sorry. I still hope your memories of Florida are good ones. Overall, it was a wonderful day at the beach-- warm sun, cool sand, and mostly clear water. Jack was even able to catch a fish! He went up on the pier and a man chatching fish was kind enough to let Jack reel one in. It was a big one too. Jack's been saying he wants a fishing pole and a boat to fish off of.

GRANDMA CAME TO VISIT!!

We finally had Grandma Teresa visit! We were all very excited about it! We are all sad it's only for a week but hopefully we have a lot of posts about going to the beach and the park. It's going to be so much fun!

"Scoober"

Yesterday Jack decided since he didn't have a dog, he'd just make one up. Here's a picture of Jack and "Scoober."

This is him getting ready to 'walk' Scoober. He gets mad when his brothers want to ride on or play with his 'dog' but I don't think they get it since originally it's their push toy. (Thanks Keith and Chrissy!)

My New Table

Greg is making me a new dining room table, since I unwittingly burnt ours last Thanksgiving. (We got our turkey late and the SMALLEST I could find was 18 lbs. It was, needless to say, too big to fit on the pot holders I put down. Oops.)
Anywayz, It's beautiful, but not down yet. Hopefully this is change before we finish primary flight training and have to move. I posted pictures. The other pictures are of the boys "helping".

Jack Sayings and the Fair

We were having a good talk with Jack this morning about an ongoing debate. Names of future brothers or sisters. We asked him what his little sister should be called. He promptly responded, "Lindsey." (We think that he likes a girl named Lindsey in the Ward.) As to a brother, I think he's somewhat confused. He kept looking at Myles and Andrew while we were trying to get him to agree to names. I think he thought we were going to rename them. George? Paul? Rutiger? Brooker T.? He liked them all. Then we asked him what the difference is between baby boys and baby girls. His answer- "Baby boys look like this (points to Myles) and baby girls look different." Very enlightening.

Then while we sat down for lunch, Mackay gave his prayer: he blessed the food, his brother, Jack and his little brothers, and Jack again. While Jack on the other hand prayed for: the food, Mackay, Sherrie, Mackay's little brothers, The Simpson's and Lisa (from Simpson's) and that we have a good day. Perhaps we watch a certain TV show too often?

We also went to the fair. Jack LOVED the rides. He got such a blast riding on them. And he did really well. He didn't get scared at all. First he went on a dragon train one. Then Sophia, Jack and Mackay got on a spinning one. The first thing Jack says when we got in was, "This thing doesn't have seat belts? Are you kidding me?!" He still had a ton of fun trying to make us throw up, however, seat belts or no.
