C-130's

Greg selected today-- which means they told us what he'll be flying for the next 6 years. C-130's!! We still move to Corpus Christi, TX but then we'd be transferred out to the 'fleet.' We were more than surprised to recieve them since the rumor was they only had 7 slots for the fiscal year, and they have already given out five. Including one last week when Greg's friend also recieved them. Usually slots only open every 2 or 3 months. So EVERYONE was surprised at getting another slot filled this week as well. Another of Greg's flying buddies who wants C-130's but hasn't graduated yet offered to pay for any skydiving or bungee jumping activity that we wanted to do this weekend...;)
Greg also tied for the highest NSS (Navy Standard Score-- what they use to base their assignments off.) 57. The other officer to get the score recieved Jets. (That's what most all flight students want to fly.)ALL the other Marines selecting this week recieved Ospry's. (That was Greg's second choice.)
